Captain Smart asserted on his program that President Akufo-Addo was intimately involved in galamsey, or illicit small-scale mining.
He claimed that Akufo-Addo was complicit in the threat that was destroying water bodies, hence he was powerless to stop it.
Speaking on Onua TV3, Captain Smart did not hold back when he accused President Akufo-Addo of contributing the environmental degradation and called him out for it.

he said
“I am not going to talk about galamsey after this week. Because President Akufo-Addo is actively involved in galamsey so he can never stop galamsey,”
