After Brazil defeated South Korea 4–1 in yesterday’s match in Qatar, fans on social media have praised the Black Stars skipper Dede Ayew.
It appears that Ghana’s tragedy in their most recent football game against Uruguay has become a godsend for the country.
Ghana’s first penalty kick of the 2022 FIFA World Cup versus Uruguay came during the football game. Dede Ayew, however, missed the penalty, which went viral on social media. Many Ghanaians berated Dede Ayew for missing the penalty, which led to the team’s defeat.
The narrative has since altered, however, as numerous Ghanaians have praised Dede Ayew on Twitter after Brazil humiliated South Korea in their sixteenth game of the ongoing Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Brazil had scored four goals by halftime, and it appeared on Twitter that supporters believed Ghana’s Black Stars, who would have faced Brazil had the team advanced out of the group stage, would have been on the losing end. They were consequently happy that the squad had been eliminated from the competition.
