Rappers in Africa (apart from Nasty C, Sarkodie, and Black Sherif) have come under fire from Wizkid, who has called them “broke boys” for refuting his earlier assertions that were circulated on social media.

Rappers in Nigeria who thought Wizkid’s claim that the rap genre was dead and that rappers were merely rehashing old flows was demeaning attacked and retaliated against him.

Rappers including MI Abaga, Ladipoe, Blaqbonez, Oladips, and others replied to the insults in a variety of ways.
Oladips in particular offered the Come Closer hitmaker a few points of contention that enriched the lively discussion. On his Snapchat, Wizkid referred to them as “broke lads” who he couldn’t care less about after allegedly reading the comments.
He wrote: 😂😂😂 broke boys ! Can’t believe y’all broke boys really thought Big Wiz will talk abt y’all🤣😂 wow!
