The verified badge is coveted by many TikTok users as a means of establishing their identity and as a symbol of their success on the platform. But how exactly do you become verified on TikTok?
Over the past couple of years, TikTok’s popularity has grown quickly, and as a result, thousands of creators have flocked to the platform to share their content with millions of viewers and attempt to establish themselves there.
Even many celebrities have joined the app as a result, and to stop bogus accounts, TikTok added a verification system similar to that of other websites like Twitter and Instagram. However, this approach has been far from ideal, with bogus profiles for famous people like HoYeon Jung of Squid Game being wrongly verified by TikTok.
In contrast to Twitter, there is currently no application process for a verified badge on TikTok, and there are no predetermined standards that applicants must meet.
So, how do you get selected for verification on TikTok?
What does being verified on TikTok mean?
A verified emblem indicates that TikTok has confirmed the account relates to the user it represents, according to TikTok. It shows as a clear blue check mark next to a TikTok user’s account name in search results and on their profile.

However, as was already indicated, this method has occasionally shown itself to be problematic, with instances of bogus accounts being mistakenly verified and deceiving thousands of users.
They point out that as verified badges can only be applied by TikTok, an account that has a badge elsewhere on their profile, such as their bio, but not below their username is not actually verified.
How to get verified on TikTok
There are a variety of elements evaluated in issuing a verified badge, including whether the remarkable account is legitimate, distinctive, active, and – of course – conform to our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, according to TikTok’s website.
According to social media strategist Rachel Pedersen, sustained daily following growth and increasing view time are the primary requirements for verification. Additionally, if your videos regularly go viral, you are more likely to be recognized.
In addition, earning media attention or having your account validated on other sites can help you qualify for the badge.
The entire procedure is a little less explicit than it is on other websites, but you stand a fair chance of getting chosen for verification if your content performs regularly and your account is growing.
