The 54-year-old, who was serving as a commentator for US channel ESPN, stumbled and fell to the ground during an interview at the Rose Bowl before to the game.

As soon as a fellow broadcaster named Dan Thomas intervened to assist him, ESPN switched to a commercial. He recovered from the collapse and got to his feet in around 30 minutes, according to their later official report.

Dan Thomas, a coworker, continued to tweet updates regarding his movements for the benefit of the viewers and admirers. “Shaka is conscious,” he tweeted. He is being looked after by the doctors.

Later, he continued, “He is aware that he is talking. He claims to have apologized profusely, and he doesn’t like people to make a big deal out of him, so I believe he may be a little embarrassed about it all. Whatever the case may be, we all wish him a quick and complete recovery!
