This Thursday, the death of Neftalí Álvarez Núñez, better known as Pacho ‘El Antifeka’, was confirmed. The 42-year-old singer lost his life in the municipality of Bayamón located in Puerto Rico.

Local authorities found the lifeless body of the interpreter inside a vehicle parked in the Plaza Tropical center. According to a report from the Bayamón Homicide Division, “El Antifeka” had several gunshot wounds.

Although the reasons behind his death are unknown, the musician had a criminal record for violating the Weapons Law. A couple of months ago, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) raided his home to conduct a search.

Who was Pacho ‘El Antifeka’?

Neftalí Álvarez Núñez was born in Puerto Rico in 1981 and from a young age he was interested in the world of reggaeton. His professional career began in the duo Pacho & Cirilio from 2013 until his departure in 2015.

After his participation in that musical group, in 2019 the Puerto Rican released a single “They have no rifle” together with the musician Cano “El Bárbaro”, who was also shot to death in December 2021.

In 2021, Pacho El Antifeka’ released his first solo album called All Star Game, translated into Spanish as Más duro que ayer, which contains singles such as ‘Sad’, ‘Tu Recuerdo’, ‘Amores Vienen y Van’, among others.

That musical compendium has the participation of other exponents of reggaeton such as Rauw Alejandro, Nicky Jam, Arcángel, Wisin & Yandel, among others. In an interview with EFE, the musician assured that he “put in” all his heart to show his most “professional” facet.

Celebrities say goodbye to Pacho ‘El Antifeka’

Some celebrities have reacted to the death of ‘Pacho El Antifeka’, among them are personalities like Daddy Yankee who have sent a farewell message.

The interpreter of ‘Gasolina’ published a photograph on his social networks in which he appears accompanied by the murdered musician and Bad Bunny. This was the message he wrote:

“I am not the one to judge anyone’s personal life, but I can judge how people treat me; based on that judgment, I can choose my friends. I am aware that you always treated me with respect, appreciation, honesty, sincerity, and loyalty,” the musician wrote.

Daddy Yankee assured that the “qualities” with which he was treated by the deceased artist were very important to him:

“… And I assure you brother that you were a real person with me from our beginnings at an early age, dreaming of this career. I am glad to know that I was able to contribute to you in life. Much strength to all your loved ones, you are in our prayers.”

The singer Farruko also spoke about the death of Pacho ‘El Antifeka’. On his Instagram he published a photograph in which he appears with the artist and dedicated a farewell message.

“Rest in peace my brother. We didn’t talk all the time, but when we did we always talked about God, trying to be better people, learning to be fair, you were always a leader and a brother. God have mercy and give strength to your family.

The musician Rauw Alejandro shared an Instagram story in which he appears posing with the deceased. He also wrote a farewell message in which he offered his support to the artist’s relatives:
