Revellers from all over the world have rushed to Uganda for the much-anticipated Nyege Nyege event, which was initially prohibited by the government.

Revellers began gathering for the event on Thursday, hoping for a great weekend from Friday to Sunday.
The yearly festival is notorious for its debauchery, which is why the government stopped it after a Member of Parliament called it a “breeding ground for sexual immorality.”
The government then announced that the contentious event would go on as scheduled because thousands of revelers from around the world had already come.
