Michael Irvin Hotel Lobby Incident Video; After being accused of inappropriate behavior by a lady in a hotel lobby, Michael Irvin was removed from NFL Network’s coverage of the Super Bowl. However, two purported witnesses are now rushing to the Hall of Famer’s defense.

Australia-born Phil Watkins, who was in Arizona on Thursday, told TMZ Sports that he observed and heard the 56-year-old Irvin and his alleged accuser’s exchange, which he described as “good” and “pleasant.”

Watkins claims that while Michael was staying at a hotel, he was hanging out with his friends and posing for pictures with the Hall of Famer. The witness claims that when they entered, Irvin was attempting to proceed to the elevator when he was approached by a woman.

This is the woman who made the accusation against Irvin, according to sources close to him. Watkins was questioned about what he witnessed.

“It was a pleasant, cordial exchange of ideas. They spoke for only 30 to 40 seconds, during which time he maintained his distance and stood about a meter away from her. After a handshake, he turned around and walked toward the elevator.”

We went further and inquired as to whether anything might have been regarded as being improper.

“In no way. In no way. A small amount of laughter was heard. Clearly a lighthearted talk. Nothing strange enough for me to actually pay attention to what was happening, “said Watkins.

We also spoke with Philadelphia-based Bryn Davis, a second claimed witness, who corroborated Watkins’ account.

“I don’t know if it was a waitress or a bartender, but I believe someone who worked there shouted, “Hey Michael Irvin,” as we walked back to enter the bar and [Irvin] immediately retreated to his hotel room. Oh, great to meet you, I’m Michael, he remarked as he shook her hand.”

“It was only an interaction for around 30 seconds, which was crazy. It might have taken a minute. Given that it was merely a fan-type of thing, I didn’t really give it much thought.”

Davis sent our photographer the picture he shot of him, Irvin, and his buddies.

Later that week, Davis claims he was astounded to learn that Michael had been charged with misbehavior simply for taking a photo with him. He claims he was astonished when he discovered, however, that he had actually seen the purported incident.

“My first thought upon seeing the phrase “Michael Irvin [misconduct]” when I first opened my eyes this morning was, “God, I just snapped a picture with that person, I can’t believe it.” It was from the night I was there, and when I read it, I thought, “This is puzzling because I saw it and I’ve never seen something like that happen before.””

When prompted to describe the exchange once more, Davis repeated… “It was a lighthearted, fan-like engagement that lasted for about 30 seconds, and then she went back to work.”

We enquired of Davis if anything he witnessed may account for Irvin’s expulsion from NFLN.

“This morning when I saw it, I felt nauseous since it was the first time I had first-hand knowledge of something similar happening and was simply made up. A completely typical dialogue took place.”

“Additionally, the bar was not too empty. It was a brief exchange of words in a busy setting. I stopped thinking about it once he left and continued on his way.”

Davis also gave his reasoning for speaking up.

“Man, I’ll say it. I’m a Philadelphia native. Michael was our nemesis when I was a child. However, he’s a really, really, really kind guy, so that’s why I felt compelled to speak up—only because he’s a decent guy, and it’s crazy to have that happen and have your life or career taken. Because it’s unfair, it was worthwhile to speak up.”

Almost no information is available regarding the specifics of the accusations or what the woman claims occurred.

On Thursday, we first reported the story. Irvin is suing the Renaissance for $100 million, claiming that it “railroaded” him in an effort to wrongfully cancel his reservation.

In a brief radio interview earlier in the week, Michael expressed his “complete perplexity” about the circumstance.

When we contacted the police to find out if an investigation had been opened, they directed us to the NFL.

Irvin was slated to serve as one of the faces of Super Bowl LVII coverage on the NFL Network.
