Her mother-in-law and husband were questioned by police, and multiple arrests were made. As to tribune.com.pk, her father said that her spouse coerced her into doing drugs and watching dancing videos.
“She was forced into drugs and dance videos by her husband Adil, whom she chose to marry against our wishes.” Her father claimed she was compelled to accept his invitation to an Eid celebration that day because of family obligations.
