Maria Salud Ramirez Caballero, The woman who is said to have served as the model for one of the movie “Cocoprincipal “‘s characters passed away at the age of 109. Her passing was announced by Michoacan, Mexico’s Secretary of Tourism, Roberto Monroy. The Secretary said she had died in Santa Fe de la Laguna. She was born more than a century earlier in the same town.
Although the exact cause of Caballero’s passing was not disclosed, Monroy hailed her as a “tireless woman and life model.”

After the Disney/Pixar character of the same name in the 2017 animated feature, she has earned the moniker “Mama Coco.” Mexico’s Day of the Dead customs are at the heart of the movie. Mama Coco was voiced by actress Ana Ofelia Murguia.
According to Caballero’s family, a Pixar team came to their neighborhood, extensively photographed her, and temporarily resided with them.
Nevertheless, Disney has never formally acknowledged Caballero as the inspiration for its title character. The family claims that numerous structures Pixar/Disney photographed while conducting research for the movie appeared in it.
