The singer has at last explained his decision to use a Ghanaian phrase as the song’s title.

Kizz Daniel explains why he chose the Twi word “Odo,” which denotes “love,” for his most recent hit song in an interview with Lexis Bill on Drivetime on Joy.

The musician claims that after seeing how much his previous hit, “Buga,” had won over Ghanaian fans, he decided to utilize a Ghanaian word for his new song as a means to express his gratitude to Ghanaians.

“Of all the African nations, Ghana saw Buga remain at No. 1 for the longest. So I was like, “Big love to Ghana,” admitted Kizz Daniel. Millions of Ghanaians streamed the song, which has received 91 million views on YouTube, and it received a ton of exposure there.

Kizz Daniel claims that it has been five years since his last visit to Ghana and that he is eager to return.

“Ghana, it’s been a while, I miss you, and I want to go back home,” he exclaimed. I require your acceptance. It’s going to be an incredible experience, I guarantee it.
