Joseph Marley, the legendary Bob Marley’s grandson, passed away unexpectedly. His father, Stephen Marley, is an eight-time Grammy Award winner.
Cause of death
On Tuesday, December 27, Joseph Marley’s vehicle was discovered to be unresponsive. According to reports, the musician died suddenly from an asthma attack.
His premature passing has shocked many fans and peers alike when the new emerged. The minister of culture, Olivia Grange, expressed her shock at his departure on social media.
She wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the news that artiste Joseph Marley, son of Reggae star, Stephen Marley and grandson of Reggae superstar, Bob Marley has died.
Joseph Marley was conceived into a musically gifted family. However, the multi-instrumentalist worked hard to carve out a niche for himself in reggae music. Jo realized that despite his family’s relative notoriety, their name carries a tremendous amount of weight.

He had already mentioned the significant influence Bob Marley had on reggae. But now is the right time to “add [his] works” to the legacy, he said.
Joseph Marley in a new generation of Reggae
Joseph Marley stated that although he is “one of the Marleys,” he is still developing his own voice in the music industry in a prior interview.
I’m a member of the new Marley generation, but I’m also still experimenting, he declared. My goal is to use my heritage in a novel way.
Joseph Marley was initially born on March 12, 1991. Kingston, Jamaica, is the place of the artist’s birth. Jo first gained notoriety in 2016 when he and his brother Yohan released the song Burn It Down.
Joseph put out a song called Nothing’s Gonna Harm You in 2020. It had his daughter’s name on it. The track, he continued, served as a constant reminder to his daughter of his commitment to her safety. Considering that it is his duty as a father.
In 2014, the musician released Comfortable, his debut EP. Later, in 2021, he issued his self-titled debut album. Jo is survived by his wife and children in addition to a large number of other relatives.
