Inaki Williams, a forward for the Black Stars, has shared a lesson he took away from Andre Ayew’s missed penalty during Ghana’s match against Uruguay at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

In the first few minutes of Friday’s 2022 FIFA World Cup match against Uruguay, Ghana was given a critical penalty.
The team’s captain, Andre Ayew, selected himself to take the shot but sadly missed it.
Inaki Williams said that Andre Ayew’s choice to accept responsibility for his error is one important lesson he has learned from the competition in an interview with Max TV.

“Always being together is the lesson I’ve learned. The captain claimed that everything was his fault, but everyone was to blame, Inaki stated.
Andre Ayew shouldn’t be blamed for the errors made in the game, he continued, because Ghana’s success at the tournament was a team effort.
“This is Ghana as a team, and Ghana both wins and loses as a team. I took away a lesson from this, he continued.
After losing to Portugal and Uruguay and winning a game against South Korea, Ghana was eliminated from the 2022 World Cup.
