In their investigation into rape allegations against Christian Ziegler, the chairman of the Florida Republicans, police have allegedly received a second sexual film.

The Florida Trident reports that the video, which was discovered after police investigated Ziegler’s phone and email account, features Ziegler’s wife, Moms for Liberty co-founder Bridget Ziegler, along with an unidentified lady.

In the course of their investigation into Ziegler, who is charged with raping a friend after she broke up with him and his wife, Sarasota police stumbled onto this second video. Although Ziegler says the interaction was consensual, he is purported to have acknowledged to recording it in October.

Whether the woman in the second video is the same complainant as the one in the first is unclear. Bridget admitted to the police that she and her spouse had previously engaged in sexual activity with the accuser.

Christian Ziegler has maintained his position as GOP chairman since the allegations surfaced, but last Sunday he lost both his pay and power.

In the meanwhile, a resolution calling for Bridget’s resignation from the board was approved by the Sarasota County School Board. She hasn’t indicated that she intends to leave her position, but the board cannot make her resign.

Board Chair Karen Rose wrote the resolution. In an email, she expressed her amazement and sadness about the rape claims against Ziegler’s husband as well as the couple’s admissions of having had a three-way sexual encounter with the accuser.

A few dozen protesters marched outside with signs before the meeting, shouting, “Hey hey, ho ho, Bridget Ziegler has got to go.” “Ban Bridget, not books” and “Real women aren’t homophobes” were two of the signs’ catchphrases.

Police reports that the Zieglers had group sex with a woman have prompted Democrats and gay rights activists to call the couple hypocritical, considering that Moms for Liberty, a group Bridget Ziegler cofounded, has teamed up with DeSantis and the Florida GOP to oppose LGBTQ+ causes.

According to a search warrant obtained for the case, Ziegler admitted to investigators that he had consensual sex with the complainant on October 2.

In February, the longtime GOP activist was elevated to the position of head of the state party. He asserted that he was the target of a political assassination and was innocent.

After the Florida Center for Government Accountability, an investigative journalism group, acquired a police report and the search warrant affidavits containing the charges, the rape claim against Ziegler was made public.

According to an affidavit, the accuser—who has known Ziegler for 20 years—told police that after Bridget backed out of the planned intercourse, she texted Christian, saying, “Sorry, I was mostly in for her.”

Later that night, the lady says, she found Ziegler outside her apartment in the corridor. She then claims he invaded her space and sexually assaulted her.

According to the affidavit, detectives started keeping an eye on Christian Ziegler’s calls and messages to the accuser a few weeks later.

‘Where r u? Wanna meet and chat? Worried about you. You are my friend,’ Ziegler allegedly wrote in one message via Instagram.

‘Hell no not after what you did to me,’ the woman responded. ‘Do you not understand I am terrified of you?’

The Florida Center for Government Accountability was able to retrieve a 911 call made by the purported victim’s friend, which indicates she told the friend she had been raped.

On October 4, the companion told the dispatcher, “She told me she was raped.”

She claims that because the individual who sexually assaulted her visited her home, she is afraid to leave. The friend said, “Right now, I’m worried about her.”

Ziegler offered the woman “financial help” in text and phone chats that detectives were recording, but he soon became concerned that they were being recorded.
