He is a writer, producer, director, animator, and voice actor from the United States. Prior to being moved to Manteca High School, Justin Roiland attended Sierra High School. He attended Modesto Junior College in Modesto, California, after graduating from high school.

He was a member of the crew that produced and voiced a number of movie shorts for Channel101, an L.A. media collective founded by Dan Harmon and Rob Schrab, including 2 Girls One Cup: The Show and House of Cosbys.

Additionally, Justin Roiland made frequent appearances as “Blonde Craig” on The Sarah Silverman Program on Comedy Central. The Grandma’s Virginity Podcast was co-hosted by him. He co-created the Adult Swim series Rick and Morty and its ensuing franchise, but this is where he is most known.

Justin Roiland made news in January 2023 when he showed up in court on January 12 for a preliminary hearing. Sources claim that Justin Roiland is awaiting trial on felony domestic violence charges against a former partner stemming from an incident that took place in 2020.

After Justin Roiland was accused of domestic assault in Orange County, Adult Swim severed its relationship with the co-creator of Rick and Morty. Adult Swim released a statement on social media stating, “Adult Swim has severed its connection with Justin Roiland.” Rick and Morty will keep airing.
