Viera High School Football Team Hazing Incident Video On Youtube, Twitter & Reddit (Watch Full Video)
A locker room video of what appeared to be inappropriate “hazing” behavior during a Florida high school football practice has prompted an investigation into the program.
All football events at Viera High School in Brevard County on Florida’s east coast have been postponed until further notice. The superintendent also suspended an unspecified number of children and dismissed the head coach of his duties.
According to the video, football players from Viera High School are seen acting out sex acts. In a statement issued on Sunday, Brevard Public Schools Superintendent Mark Rendell referred to it as hazing.

Bullying, intimidation, and hazing are not permitted at Brevard Public Schools. We have been looking into the hazing situation involving players from the Viera High football team for the past few days, according to the statement.

In reaction to a viral video showing team members laughing and cheering as players imitated sex acts with one another, Brevard School District stopped all Viera High School football activities on Sunday, Aug. 20, and fired Shane Staples, the varsity head coach.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the parents or the youngsters involved informed the school about the event. Heather Legate, the principal of Viera High School, had mentioned the incident in a weekend email to parents.
In the 41-second clip, students are seen jostling and laughing with uniformed players while trying to pull one of them’s shorts back.
While others cheered, some of the players appeared on top of the students, thrusting and acting out sexual actions as what appeared to be condom packages were thrown to the ground. Another student helped a player off his feet. One of the students comments, “That’s bad.” One more adds, “We are lit.”
