Rapper AKA Shot Dead – Leaked Footage At Shooting Scene; Rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting on Florida Road on Friday night, according to police sources in Durban.
Another person, who is thought to be AKA’s bodyguard, was also injured. A third unnamed individual, who is said to be AKA’s close friend, was shot and killed.

Although the provincial police had not yet made an official statement regarding the killings, IOL has independently verified this information from reliable police sources; these sources cannot be named since they are not allowed to speak to the media.
AKA was reportedly killed in a drive-by gunshot while he was standing outside the Wish Restaurant.

It’s thought that soon before 10 o’clock, two unidentified automobiles started shooting.
When an IOL team arrived to the location on Friday night, police had already blocked off the area.
Leaked Footage At Shooting Scene Of Rapper AKA
Stunned diners at a neighbouring eatery who spoke to IOL reported AKA was shot while standing outside Wish.
Florida Road has been closed off following the shooting incident on Florida Road, where two persons have been confirmed dead, according to Garrith Jamieson, a spokesman for ALS Paramedics.
A “renowned rapper” was reportedly among the dead, according to Jamieson.
At this point, it is unknown who the second victim of gunfire was, however it is believed that he was an intimate friend of AKA.
AKA was scheduled to perform at the Durban nightclub YUGO as part of his birthday celebrations, according to social media posts.
