No artist in Ghana, according to dancehall musician Shatta Wale, can draw a large crowd to a musical performance at the Accra sports stadium.
A few hours after Wizkid’s performance at the sports stadium bombed and infuriated the crowd, a video of Shatta Wale went viral.
There have been various allegations that Wizkid avoided the “Wizkid Live performance” because of the poor attendance. The artist, however, has refuted the reports, explaining the genuine cause of his inability to make it to the stadium.

In the midst of the uproar, a video of Shatta Wale saying that no artist in Ghana could fill the Accra Sports stadium reappeared; his response suggested that Wizkid may have done so.
We have never had a show like that at the stadium where you can see that the place is filled up for one artiste, he continued, “unless it’s a political rally, if it’s not NPP or NDC or maybe Pastor Mensah Otabil or Pastor Chris, I am telling you people something, write it down, or Duncan Williams, or Bishop Agyin Asare, or maybe it’s Kotoko and Hearts.”
