Nana Kwame Appiasei, better known as Smallgod, is a successful music businessman in Ghana. He recently revealed how he persuaded popular musicians Tory Lanze and Black Sherif to appear on his song “Gidi Gidi.”
Smallgod Black Sherif’s verse in his song was captured during a one-on-one interview with Amansan Krakye on Kastle FM, and it was kept for more than a year and a half.
Smallgod revealed that he spent a long time looking for an artist who could mesh well with Black Sherif’s recorded verse before settling on Canadian rapper Tory Lanez. This is why he kept Black Sherif’s recorded verse around for so long.

He remarked, “With Gidigidi, Black Sherif said yes, let’s do it, he jumped on it, and it was done, so I kept it for about a year and a half trying to find someone to match with him and gel on the song.
“So I continued to listen to a lot of people, but some of them didn’t sound right with Blacko, so I kept exploring till I found Tory Lanez who does.
On the Kastle Entertainment Show, he said, “Black Sherif also heard it and he was thrilled so both of them are happy and I’m happy and the world would be happy so that’s where we got Gidi Gidi.
