Teachers in training at the country’s 46 public institutes of education will soon receive their allowance after a long wait. This will happen anytime between now and the end of September.

The money has been given by the government to the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) for distribution. The SLTF will complete the distribution as quickly as feasible. This was shown in a letter published by the All Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana’s leadership (ATTA-G).

The disbursement will be completed before September ends, according to the letter, which is dated back to Sunday, September 25, 2022.

The Students Loan Trust Fund was established in December 2005 as a result of the Trustee Incorporation Act 1962, Act 106. (SLTF).

The Trust Fund’s objectives are to provide the financial resources necessary for the Trust to be managed successfully for the benefit of students, as well as to promote and help the national principles outlined in Articles 25 and 38 of the 1992 Constitution.
