Black Sherif Reveals That His Poor WASSCE Results Made Him Do Music

According to Black Sherif, he once had to devise a backup strategy during his senior year of high school (SHS).

The vocalist of “Second Sermon” claimed that he made the decision to pursue music after realizing that he was falling short of academic standards in high school.

At some point in his senior high school years, he understood that his academic achievement wasn’t anything to brag about.

I knew I wouldn’t perform well on my final examinations after reviewing my grades, he said, so I told myself I needed a plan B.

Blacko claimed he was about to fail his final exams and needed to come up with a backup plan during a virtual interview on Accra’s Asaase Radio.

“I remember that in my SHS days I used to play beat on tables with my hand for my buddies to sing and rap with it so one day I decided to do a freestyle and they loved it so that was when I decided to attempt it,” he said as he gave the story.

After graduating from high school in June 2019, he continued, “I made the decision to pursue music full-time after my first experience in the studio was some time in the year 2019 and the experience was something else.
