One of hiplifes own Bice Osei Kuffour who is known in the Ghanaian entertainment industry as Obour.
He first appeared in the musical scene with one of hiplifes all time best album Atentenben. The album featured the song Obuor which outdoor him to the musical world.
Obuor me hu y3 huhuhuuhu was one of the memorable phrases on the song.
The Atentenben album won three awards including video of the year. At the Ghana Music Awards 2002.
Those awards aided Soul records to win the record label of the year award. The video again won best video same year at Our Music Awards (OMA).
Bice Osei Kuffour released
numerous albums coupled with a lots of hit songs like the Dondo album carrying the mi su day3 hit song.
He went on to become the musiga president for eight years. He succeeded in chalking numerous successes and again bringing lots of changes to the Ghanaian music industry and the entertainment world at large.
Bice Osei Kuffour has decided to touch another tangent. Tapping from the eight years experience of leadership in the musical industry, he’s decided to use the influence to venture into politics. On 24th January 2020 he made his intentions known to the general public. This is a piece of the speech he used to announce his intentions.
I am very happy to announce today the 24th Day of January 2020 that I, Bice Osei Kuffour (Obour) have firmly decided to contest the NPP primaries in the Asante Akyem South Constituency to serve my people and contribute to improve the electoral fortunes of the great New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2020 general elections when given the nod.
